I'm about to start tweaking the front key adjustments. Any Idea how many turns will drop another inch or so? Right now I've got 26.5 turns on the driver side, and 21 turns on the passenger. Driver side front is at 33" and passenger side front is at 34".

On another note, about how much can you tweak the front before an alignment is really needed?

I know that a lot of guys have the keys the same way. Driverside key decranked fully and passenger key cranked almost all the way. I wouldn't bother counting turns on your keys, just adjust them, drive around the block so it settles, measure it and just repeat that process till your ride height is at where you want it.

Did you already get an alignment after you dropped it?

I have my passenger side all of the way out and my driver side all of the way in and I'm still a litter higher on my passenger side.

Yeah I got it aligned yesterday. Wheels had some serious positive camber before the alignment lol... Its all good now.

Played with the key adjustments tonight and think I got it where its gonna be for awhile.

DS front=32-7/8
PS front=33
DS rear=34
PS rear=34-1/8

I'm sorta banking on the rear springs settling another 1/4 - 1/2 inch. Then once I ditch the taller tires in the rear it should be sitting fairly even. Thats the plan anyway lol.

Since you dropped the PS front an inch I woud get it aligned again if it were my vehicle. If you don't, keep a VERY close eye on your tread wear because I'm pretty sure that is enough to really change the camber.

Bring on the pics!!

Well, I think I may have had my wheels turned slightly on the first measurement. I measured again before I started tweaking the keys and they were both relatively close to 34". Something else I learned yesterday, don't take measurements on a sloped driveway lol.... I was adjusting the keys and got them where I thought I wanted them, then got on the street and the front end was down almost a full inch from when I was parked on the driveway. My driveway is about 3% slope from the house to the road. :)

OK, here's a cell phone pic of the Tahoe before I adjusted the keys. It's dirty as hell and I'll take some better shots an start a different thread once it's all cleaned up with tire dressing etc.. :)

that looks really good! sorry to hear about the shocks and key issue. I've never really measured turns, i just crank them one way or another till i get the right stance.

Thanks. I'll post up some better pics once I get the thing dropped a bit more, get the smaller rear tires etc.
