I am in the Apple Ecosystem and have been using CarPlay for a while now and love it. Now that Google is integrated into the 2022 Tahoe is it worth logging into my Gmail account versus staying logged out? Just wondering if there are any benefits that would make it better than CarPlay where I have all of my data already.

The best solution for me would just be to eliminate the Google wrapper, but it doesn't seem like that is possible.

Any use cases that Google users have that might make me considering trying to leverage the Google integration?

I don't think it is inherently different than apple, with google you can geofence yourself and sync all contacts to the cloud basically, so in the event of a total loss of a device you can restore everything, photos, contacts, documents, calendar appointments, etc.
does it track you? yes, that's the point, but so does everything else.

I have actually been thinking of logging out...my fam and I are solid into Apple ecosystem, but use gmail for mail, contacts sync, and own a Google Home Wifi system, so use the google assistant on some smart devices around the house.
Issue I have is that if I am logged in to my Yukon infotainment, am in my car and I say "hey google, set the heat to 70" meaning the heat in the Yukon, it wants to adjust the thermostat in my house. It seems the context of the system isn't well understood by the software...so, for this reason, I have been thinking of logging out.

That said, the assistant can read you your calendar (if it is google cal), remind you of appointments, etc...

Net, I really haven't spent enough time in my Yukon (since I have only had it 4 weeks), to really sort out all of the pluses and minuses...any advice/thoughts in this thread appreciated.

Note, the dealers didn't get good training on this system. My dealer is not much help for this stuff.
