I had LED's in mine, and they started flickering and stopped working after a few months. Then I split the turn signal harnesses and made the whole thing into a turn signal. I like it a lot better now.

I put the AArons DRL LEDs from Amazon, so far so good, but it's only been a few days. The cheaper set I bought first (JDM for 16 bucks ) stopped working almost immediately, some of the leds burned out.

Ps I had to shave the base of the AArons ones down a hair to fit the plug though

Thats very creative, 2 questions from my feeble brain.

1 - Once you made it one blinker, how did you stop the DRL with the orange LED from coming on after that? Cut the DRL wires off the DRL socket & cap them off, then splice the blinker wires into the DRL socket?

2 - Running LED's for blinker's up front, did you need a load resistor?

thanks

The DRL harness/sockets are still there, tucked and taped up out of the way without bulbs in them should I ever decide to go back to them. I bought a pair of turn signal sockets and pigtails off Amazon, they were around $6 each, and spliced, soldered, and heat shrunk them into the existing harness. My light housings are aftermarket, so the bulb holes aren't as exact as factory. The turn signal fit in the DRL hole with a little bit of wiggling, but no force was necessary. I have no issues with moisture getting in them.

I'm not running any resistors, I bought a flasher made for LED's. They flash just slightly faster than stock, it's barely noticeable.

Raviel119 - I ordered the same ones from the link you sent on eBay but mine seem a lot more blue-ish/purple than yours. Not sure if I am gonna leave these in, or find a pair that aren't so purple.

That is very strange. Cause my lights are plain out white. No blue whatsoever.

That's a dramatic difference! Looks great. I will be doing this when I change my bumper light assemblies.

Happy with them so far. Curious to see if you get the same problems not fitting the base I did. When they would t fit, I started comparing them to the others and they were definitely wider. So I had to use an extremely sharp chisel and shave off maybe 1/64" on each side of the base to fit. Perfect after that so far, and way BRIGHTER than the JDM brand I bought first, which fit but many of the leds burned out in a day. Hopefully they last a while....

Just ordered the pair off Amazon. The users submitted photo's of these in the back-up lights at night, and are bright as hell. Are these too bright for DRL? Just dont wanna ride around pissing people off.
