Hello All,

Aside from offering it here as I’m not qualified to do that yet, where/what would be best way to sell an Escalade?
I’ve literally had such bad experiences on Ebay, Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, etc. that I just have to avoid them.

Thanks in advance and regards,

Bob

I sold my tahoe on here. it was a bit of a rare older 2 door and the had been looking for about 6 months and happened to be local. so might have been an outlier but it was much nicer than dealing with Facebook.

good luck.

If you're not willing to go through the motions to sell it yourself, try CarMax or someplace like that. Sure, you leave money on the table but you save yourself from the unwanted hassle.

what kind of bad experience could possibly have with CL? it cost's $5 and you will get trolls just like anywhere, but pretty sure anywhere else will cost more and still have trolls.
give people a specific time frame to show up if they don't make it then go about your day, don't waste your time or effort.

Clean it. Take a lot of CLEAR pics, list all the work you have done to it and what still needs done, ask a real price.
Cash only.
I have great luck selling on cl my self.

I used TRED to sell my 08 YXL Denali for $12.5k with 140k miles to purchase my 09 Esky Platinum ESV w/ same mileage for $14k. Autotrader bought TRED after that.

They handle the payment, broker it, direct deposit to your checking account, do all the Lic, DMV, Reg, Pink slip. You simply hand over keys. Lady from Las Vegas drove to SoCal to get it.

All communication is through their portal so no spam, spit or weirdos. They had a promo that paid $125 towards proof of professional detail job.

I found a Pro resto place from my auto body shop that spent two days color sanding & polishing inside & out for $800. Hated to sell it after the detailing so I picked the right place.

If they give you a referral discount, pm me for info. It’s must be pro detailed or you will not get over $6k. Depending on milage you’ll get $10-$16k but only if pro detailed. People want to pay that much vs a new $100k Esky but it must be Cadillac clean.

I had a very, very bad experience selling a car on Craigslist once. Methheads.. a guy and his girlfriend. They had a bad trip ( or something was wrong with them idk).. the lady went psycho.. and they ended up calling the police.. on ME.. accusing me of stealing her purse. LOL.. I laugh about it now but it was NOT funny then.

Sheriff’s deputies came out.. saw she was full of chit, her story made no sense, I did not have her purse, I let them search me and my truck. The deal was already done, as in I had the cash and they had the title. Sheriff pulled me to the side and asked me what the hell was going on. Told him the truth, that after the deal was done they just lost it and started screaming and jumping around accusing me of stealing from them. Sheriff walked up to them told them to kick rocks .. Interestingly enough, after cops told them to get lost they totally dropped the issue like nothing ever happened.. man people suck!

That was the last time. Never again.

@OP … Go sell The car to CarMax, but beware.. any vehicle over 10 years old, they send to “auction”.. as in, it won’t be sold on their lot and therefore they will lowball you with price. The upside is they cut the check Same day and you are done with it.

that really has nothing to do with the selling platform, that's just "people" that could have happened from simply having a for sale sign in the window and parked in front of your house.
you want less risk? tell them to meet you in the parking lot of the local pd. give them a 20 minute window if no one shows up keep on trying.
a person like myself is more concerned with people lying about the condition or not being truthful about any problems or complete lack of any morals of any kind and generally this is the case so you have to be diligent with your inspection and test driving. people lie and will continue to lie even when caught red handed.
it's in great condition!
you show up and the rear side glass is busted out, full of dog hair and ripped up seats, you fire it up and it sounds like a lawnmower and blows a big puff smoke
but....we just changed the oil
ya....... that's a thing. f-k people
