Afm, 07 Yukon " skipping v6 mode "

I gotta 07 Yukon 5.3 flex fuel. For whatever reason it's skipping v6 mode and only goes to v4 mode them back to v8 vice verse when driving. It was working fine before. Anyone know what is causing this and what's the fix on it? Thanks.

i own one. never heard of it having a v6 mode. i've never seen it do it. maybe call your local dealership and ask a parts or service guy.

No such thing as "V6 mode". It goes from V8 to V4. It does this via Active Fuel Management specific lifters on the passenger side of the motor that essentially shut off that side of the engine when the computer tells them to.

Ok thanks. It's weird because it used to say v6 mode. After I got all 16 valve lifters replaced it goes from v8 to v4. So I shouldn't be alarmed by this. Thanks for your knowledge and info. Much appreciated.
