Folks its the same question, same answers since "Global B" started rolling out ECU's form 20-23. The ECU is encrypted. Still, as of now the only way to do it is 2 things:
1. Send in your ECU to get a custom unlocked one, (e.g. L87 E90 ECU's https://www.hptuners.com/product/gm-e90-ecm-service-global-b/)
2. Complete a mechanical DOD Delete (https://www.michiganmotorsports.com/lifters-and-pushrods/afm-dod-lifters-and-deletes). I was quoted $9,000 to have this done in Indiana.

IF YOU HAVE A WARRANTY DO NOT DO THIS, IT WILL VOID YOUR WARRANTY. You're going to need it, because GM Engines are failing for many other non-DOD reasons (sand left in blocks, improper clearances, leaking heads, etc).

Yes, a GM tech can deactivate DOD (but not mechanical). They won't do it for you permanently though, because ECU flashes are tracked to the tech, and they'll get fired.

So what can you do?
- Get an auto-stop disabler, they work, and no tech has said anything to me about it.
- If you have an L87, check and change your precious synthetic oil way more often than you think. L87's are running hot these years, mine churns AMSoil Signature Gold into a black silk in about 2500 miles. Yup my 2023's second engine is already dying.
I’m curious what symptoms your second engine is exhibiting that point to its eventual failure?

I bought a Carbyte module (directly from Carbyte's website) for my '25 Yukon and can't make it work. I opened a support ticket with Carbyte and they're asking for photos of the area behind the OBD plug. They said that some dealerships install a tracker on the wiring harness there that can block the Carbyte from connecting. I sent photos but the ticket is still open. I'll update you all here whatever happens

Can they tell you what this tracker looks like? Geez. Never heard of such a thing from a dealership.

Don't hold your breath for too long waiting for something from Carbyte or even Range for the 2025 models. While they may have something in the works, I believe GM may have uped their game for the 2025 models to make them even more difficult to hack.

Best thing to do for now is just drive in L9.

As for the Carbyte it is really an upgraded version of OBDLink with an OBDLink interface. If you download the OBDLink App to your phone and can pull standard OBDII data from the vehicle, then there is likely nothing wrong other than GM has raised the bar and changed things for 2025 and Carbyte will have to go back to the drawing board to see if they can even offer a solution.

Low jack installs at OBD port via a splitter with constant 12v tap. (Parasitic battery drain).. super easy to uninstall, I suggest you do it asap
