It's not just a matter of height, it's a matter of positioning and the angles of the front clip.

My NNBS hybrid valance also was marginally lower compared to the non-hybrids, but the non hybrids had their valance recessed under the bumper right in front of the tires, whereas the hybrid just like the 15+ trucks the front bumper and valance go straight down at the very front of the vehicle, making them really easy to scrape. Trust me I know. My NNBS hybrid valance was easier to scrape than my NNBS Escalade with a 2" front drop, even tho the difference tween the two valances at stock height was a lot less.

Well actually my valence on my denali sits slightly closer to the tires than the one on my silverado. Not saying that it is impossible to scrape the valence on my 2015 denali but it would have to be at a pretty good angle and not paying very good attention to do it . IMO

You can't compare a silvy with an suv ... yes they have the same underpinning platform but the individual parts, setup, and driving characteristics are completely different. It's not even worth comparing.

You can believe whatever you want, but I am telling you the NNBS Hybrid valance was really easy to scrape, you basically had to drive it at half a mile an hour onto some driveways to avoid it ... and since the 15+ trucks are basically clones of the NNBS hybrids they will suffer the same problem.

In any case, it's not a major issue, after the owner has done it a couple of times he'll know how to avoid it ... it's just a shame that one has to even deal with this on a massive SUV.

The 15+ trucks were designed based on the aerodynamics of the NNBS hybrids. If you look at the valance relative to the headlights on the 15+ and Hybrid you will see the valance lines up with the from of the headlight, whereas on the NNBS Tahoe it was at the back of the headlight.

I know it doesn't seem like much but it results in a big difference in clearance because of the angle of attack if the seam between the road and a driveway are at a severe angle.

The 15+ won't be as bad as the Hybrid, but it'll be worse than the NNBS non hybrids.

Nice post! Makes sense.

The only time my radio has lag is when checking weather but that is to be expected. All other complaints that others have stated I guess don't bother me right now. Hell my wife already got to close to the crub so the valence is scrapped... to hell with that thing.. lol

easy to scrape or not...I'll take that valance. I'm getting 15+ mpg in the city right now and that valance is a major part of it along with the V-4 tech at low load situations

on the 2010+ F-250/350 trucks, the bigger valance has been shown to improve MPG's by 2+ mpg on those big heavy pigs. the Tahoe one is a tad large...but oh well

anybody else noticed how quiet these new rigs are? the aerodynamics are awesome compared to any other SUV/truck I've owned. I can cruise at 65 mph with the windows down and very little cabin noise. pretty awesome

Okay so other than for the OP who's blessed by the nav gods, it seems the MyLink suffers the same lag as the Cue. In fact it seems to suffer more lag than the NNBS system. :(

Hey like I said, I thought Ford hung the moon before my Denali. All of you guys with a 2015 need to go drive a Ford with MFT for about 2 weeks and then see what you think of the GM system. IMO, the GM system is much better.
