So I’ve been checking with GM monthly since we placed our order in September for a Yukon xl diesel Denali. I’ve been told the order was accepted but no targeted production week. The last few times I’ve reached out it is NO LONGER ACCEPTED. We ordered from Dave Smith who’s supposed to be one of the biggest and they can give no info EVER. Should we just jump ship? I feel like I don’t really trust this company anymore…anyone been waiting this long and have similar experience?

Same------------ Ordered a Yukon Denali in October and its still at 1100 code. I was told by the dealer they don't know when it will get built. There is one guy before me. He ordered his in September

We ordered last April and slowly ordered at 4 different dealers after waiting for almost a year. Finally bought a used one with Dmax/Max Tow last month when I finally found one. The week after we bought the Tahoe one dealer called and said they had an allocation. Confirmed my build the next morning and never heard back from them. Not sure if they ended up not being able to get it allocated or what the deal was. It’s a painful process if you want the Dmax/Max Tow combo.

Well I don't have any advice on the vehicle but I take every chance I can to steer people away from Dave Smith. I bought a used truck from them a few years ago and they absolutely screwed me on it. Ended up needing almost $6k in repairs a week after driving it off their lot on a $12k truck and all items the repair shop said they would have had to known about as they could see stuff was jerry rigged to get the truck sold. Plus, some stuff Dave Smith said had been done to the truck maintenance wise was never actually done and when I call them out on it they changed the definition of what that work was.

It all comes down to your specific build options...some are available and some are not. Max trailering and adaptive cruise control seem to be very limited right now.

I ordered my LS suburban duramax with max tow early January and TPW is this week so certainly they are being build however like others said the more options/higher trim the more uncertainty. The higher trims rely on having more chips and it happens to be those pesky chips are in short supply!

Correct. The total build options is likely the cause. Denali trim from what I've seen has had a lot of constraints do to the added tech. Probably why the other poster in this thread with the XL/SLT/LM2/Max Tow got their TPW where the Denali order (OP) did not.

My LT Tahoe w/ LM2 and Max Tow is scheduled to be built this week (fingers crossed).

Mine as well, it would be interesting to follow the journeys of our two trucks (assuming they will actually be built). I ordered mine back in Jan and got accepted early April with TPW of 5/16. I’m in Northern California and hoping to get it by July just in time for our planned summer trip (but not getting my hopes up).

I got a call from my dealer and they told me that Max Trailering is holding my Diesel LS and has been for 4 months and will hold for unknown times. They really tried to convince me to delete Max Trailering but I kept it as I was planning to tow with it in mountains. I know Diesel does not have additional cooling with Max Trailering but it has Autotrac. Max Trailering seems like the blocker.
