Guys.
Thanks for all the replies. My wife is the main driver of the AT4 and unfortunately she's particular about sounds. I would love to hear the engine growl.

I have the Airaid Jr kit on my Tahoe. I got it mainly so I could work under the hood easier (like seeing the belt and tensioner) and hearing the engine more. The kit did both.

But add hp? Like others have said, if it added 5hp you won’t notice. It is a 6000+ lb vehicle. But you do notice the sounds with the helmholtz resonator gone. It is a V8, after all…

(Guess I’m old fashioned and not into Jetsons-sounding transportation appliances!)

I have this kit on my Trailboss. I like it for the same reasons as you. Plus we don't mind the extra noise.

Airaid on the '14 Tahoe PPV. Expensive for what it is but a very good mod for all of the reasons stated above.

I have the K&N Tube and filter on my 2021 Suburban 6.2. It basically replaces the stock tube with silencer from Throttle body to factory air cleaner. I bought a drop in K&N filter for the factory filter. The stock air cleaner is basically a cold air intake, drawing air from in front of the radiator near the front of the hood. It sounds fantastic when you accelerate. My wife likes the sound also. She drives a 2017 Camaro SS.

Any of you just drop in a standard K&N to the existing set-up and get any improved sound or feel?
