I have a 2011 LTZ and the other day, I drove a friends 2019 Suburban at night and it was equipped with a HUD windshield display that projected the speed and navigation on the windshield. It was impressive but I am not upgrading just yet.

I am wondering if anyone’s installed an aftermarket ?
Any advice or ideas are always appreciated, thank you.

The Sygic GPS app has a HUD mode, so I use an old iPhone and lay it on the dash on one of those tacky mats. Cheap and works well enough except on really bright days. There are also several HUD apps in the App Stores.

HUD's are cool. I used a phone app. Would be nice to have something you can plug and play/mount instead of using a phone.
