So through searching I've seen it mentioned a few times to cut/remove the plastics behind the stock radio so a larger/deeper unit will fit. Before I go hacking away at this does anyone have a picture of what exactly they cut out?? Installing a JVC KWZ1000W

you shouldn't have to cut anything for that, I made a small cut on mine because the squarish plastic piece in inside was right where the fan was on my pioneer so I just made room for the air to move.

When I installed double-din years ago, I cut out plastic bracket inside, all the way back, of radio cuddy which made fitting a huge harness to retain all OEM controls much easier.
