I have recently replaced my a/c clutch after my air failing. I know it was the clutch because I welded the old one and it worked fine.

I replaced the clutch 10 days ago with an original equipment ACDelco part and now 10 days later it has failed again. Is there something else I should be looking for to cause this issue?

Just like the first time it failed I can see the friction material of the clutch coming out from the inside and all over the engine bay.

Any help is appreciated.

Is it failed or is there another issue?

I had problems with my A/C last week and thought the clutch was on it's way out as it kept struggling to engage. It turned out to be the belt tensioner though. When I put the wrench to it to loosen the belt it didn't return back to put tension back on the belt. I ended up replacing both main and A/C tensioners as the salt in winter is pretty harsh on everything. Everything is 100% again.
