I want to get an alarm with remote start. Preferably with the drone app. Im curious to know if it would be a good choice for my 1999 Chevy Tahoe.
my truck is parked a good distance away from my house so I don’t have a line of sight to it and I want to make sure that whatever alarm I end up purchasing has significantly long range. Also, its cold and I would like it to be warm when I get in it.
I want the phone application as well. Please don’t bust my bubble. I really want it.

i just recently did an idatastart system in my mountaineer and am fairly impressed with it. the kit i got is also very versatile with options and upgrades including an extended range remote kit and options to add mobile device connectivity. they have a website that you can break it down to vehicle specific options if you want to take a look.

You can do a viper smartstart 4g, prices can vary a lot depending on the options you want, the 4g/gps module is about $150 then you would need a compatible security system. with the smartstart range is unlimited you just use a app on your phone and you can also access it online, alerts are sent via the app, text, email. and via the remote fob if you are within range of the chosen security system, mine has a 1 mile range on the fob alone.

I believe all of the directed systems are smartstart compatible pretty much anything using a dball3 or later (db3)
including:
viper
clifford
python
autostart
astrostart
avital

https://www.directed.com/

you can get the directed smartstart module for $133 on amazon and it works with all the brands above, they market each brand separately and everybody sells them for more and never tell you the $133 module works with them all
