all lights, all the time !

Hi, I just joined and glad I found this place. You guys have some nice trucks.
I have 3 Tahoes and the newest ( 06) Z71 is acting strange. The dash light behind
the headlight switch was out so I took it out and went to the local Chevy dealer for a
bulb. After spending about an hr there with a parts guy scratching his head I said thanks
anyway and left. I put the switch back in at the dealership and started for home. I noticed
the headlights were brighter than usual. After investigating found all the lights were
on, high and low beams. I played with the switch on the colum flashing high low but that made
no difference. I took the on/off switch out of the 04 I have and same thing ! any ideas ? thanks

don't have a reader, I guess I could go to Advance or something, quite honestly didn't think that would
give a code.

Bcm check for body control codes and make sure head light switch connection is good.

found the problem, plow light module ! even though there aren't plow lights on it there was a light harness and modules, one of the modules was melted and shorting back ! thank you for the suggestions !
