im installing Efans as soon as i get my tune from BBP, so tonight i took off the shroud and did a little poking around... thought i would do the OD pulley while i had some tools out, but i couldnt get the nut off the old pulley. i noticed there is a T55 head on the inside of the 24mm nut, do you have to hold the nut with a wrench while you turn the torx bolt out, or do you just hold the pulley and crank the F outta the nut?

couldnt get it tonight, so i just put it all back together for now. but i must say, by just removing the shroud, i can see there will be TONS of room to work in there when the clutch fan is gone

I think the Torx head on the inside of the pulley is used to hold the pulley still while you try to remove the nut for the pulley but it doesn't work. I tried for a while before I gave up. Just have a shop near you remove it with an impact gun and install the same way. It will take about 2 minutes. This will save you a lot of time and aggravation.

The best way to remove it is to keep the serpentine belt on while removing the pulley, just use an impact gun like mentioned and do a quick couple bursts with it and it should come off!! If the pulley still wants to spin with the serpentine belt connected, get someone to push down on the belt on top of the pulley while doing quick bursts with the gun. The reason for the quick bursts is to prevent the pulley from doing alot of spinning on the belt and wrecking it plus it helps (at least it helped my situation) to break the nut loose from the pulley!

If you don't have an impact gun, you can use a breaker bar on it and take a big hammer and smack on it a few times, should also break it loose!
