Alternator quest

Been searching but cant find this answer.
I have a '11 Tahoe LS. 5.3L.
How many amps does the OEM alternator produce?

Might say it on the unit itself.

You can always call a parts store and ask too.

The only difference I think would be PPV.

PPV has a 160 amp alternator, which is also available on nonPPVs. My LS had it. There should be a label on the alternator to indicate its amperage. If not, either take it off and match it up at an auto parts store, take your VIN to the dealer and ask them, or do a VIN check at www.compnine.com.
