I want to upgrade the alternator on my '00 Suburban 2500 by installing a newer, higher output model. Anyone know what will just bolt on with no wiring modifications? I plan on picking one up from a salvage yard. Appreciate any help.

I have a very limited experience with alternators, but I have replaced a few. As far as I know, you just purchase a larger out-put alternator and it goes in the same way as the old one did, same wires and hookups and everything.
