I came home today from being out of town for a few days and the battery in my Tahoe was completely dead. Its an 07 Tahoe LT Z71. I jumped it off and now have a charger on it. I couldn't figure out what could have drained the battery but now I notice something. When I lock the doors with the fob or with the button on the drivers armrest an amber light flashes on the dash and doesn't seem to go away. If I manually lock the doors I don't get this light. Can anyone tell me why this is happening? The light looks like a picture of a car with a padlock going through it...

OK, duh, sometimes reading the owners manual helps. Apparently this is the security light and it does go off. Took it about 60 seconds to stop flashing. Its VERY strange that I never noticed this light before. I could almost swear that it was not coming on before now. I did have to open the door with the key since the battery was dead and when we hooked up the jumper cables the "alarm" went off. Anyway, still not sure what might have killed the battery. Nothing appeared to have been left on when I got power back to her. Never had any issues with this battery before.
