So I was driving my Yukon yesterday and all of a sudden, the steering wheel jerks slightly to the left. I didnt think anything of it because the things steering is so easy I can turn it with my pinky. Then it did it again and again etc... It wasnt like it was unsafe or anything, just really annoying. It felt like it was the power steering doing it. I checked the level of fluid and it was good.

Any suggestions?

couls be the tires doing it sounds to me if you were driving straight and it did it at a regular interval it may be something either protruding from the tire or maybe a tread seperation .

Sorry I guess I didnt mention that it isnt in regular intervals. It only happens everyonce in a while. The tires better not be separating... They're brand new!

in that case it could be tierod ends or pitman arm or centerlink

Check your bearings while you are down there. I had run mine dry and the outer bearing locked up and pinch welded itself to the spindle. Started EXACTLY like your's did ...

It cant possibly be any thing in the front end (at least I hope) Its got a newly rebuilt front end on it. I'm going to check into this EVO sensor thing. Thanks

No problem. Thats what we are all here for. These trucks are notorious for the EVO's going bad. Im going on number 3 for my 99...

OK. I've read about the EVOs and that seems like it might be the problem. I drove it today and it didnt do it so we will see. I'm getting ready to drive from Oklahoma to Washington and I dont really want to deal with this little annoying problem. So is the thing located under the dash or what? I couldnt find any strings on the EVO sensor on this website because it says "EVO" is to small of word and all it would search was sensor. There's alot of posts on sensors! Thanks again fyrman.
