Well final got the chance to put the new Delphi pump in today. The gauge had gone completely, jumping from slap full to E whenever it felt like it. One of the wipers on the sending unit had broken off completely. New pump module installed and all is back to normal. Still hummingbirds but that's expected. Gauge is like every other one I've ever seen, probably have to burn at least 4 gallons worth of fuel before it will even move from past full.
