Hello all,

Joined up after purchasing a 2005 Z71 Tahoe last week and wanting to change some things on it.

I'd appreciate any help here. I have been browsing the Forum for the past several hours and still don't have my answer/s.

Im wanting to Level out the Tahoe of course. I believe I will get the RC kit that comes with shocks because its in need of new ones anyway. I plan to eventually swap out the UCA, but its worth noting I will drive this vehicle maybe 3000 miles a year with Minor towing (Trailer for home improvement materials) and actually a bump dirt road and 30 yds into a pasture to get to the hunting property and park.

Now I recently sold the F150 I had and decided to keep the spare set of tires in the basement.

These tires are BFG AT's in 285/65/20 which translates to (Common tire size for comparison)

I wanted to be a little different and Run a 20x9 SS Trailblazer wheel, specs of

Bolt Pattern [?]: 6x139.7mm (6x5.5")
Backspace : 5.875"
Offset [?]: +22mm

So what do you all think, Can I fit them with leveling? That offset seems a bit much, but at least its to the side that if needed I can add spacers to move the wheel out..... I think.

I want to add too these tires are at about 40% tread life and Ive also read BFG's run a little small so thats a positive?

Probably so on the level kit. Will need more than the RC kit as its not worth the height or money! Since your a z71 you should get ebay keys and 1.5" rear spacers. Biggest rear spacer to push is 2"! Order some Bilstein 5100 shocks (part numbers are listed in many threads in this section, also in my old build thread page 11). The tires will probably rub the lower valance corner and maybe some of the rear fender liner. Little trimming and you can stuff them. I would consider ebay keys and spacer for 1.5-2" lift plus a 1.5" body lift if tires were new.

Ok cool. Ebay Keys, 1.5" spacers (Coil SPacers right, not Wheel spacers) and Bilstein Shocks

Do you think the Backspacing or Offset will be a problem. Id be open to a different wheel if another offset or backspacing would be better.

I want to be able to level it right to get them them in/on there and not having it ride like a Dump Truck with the UCA's bottomed out.

Yup coil spacers not wheel. Those tires will be stuffed but seen it done and the offset will help you clear them. Most likely will rub the bumper corner and rear fender liner. Little trim and good to ride.
