Thanks. It had 138K but even the driver's seat looked new. That's a pretty neat trick.

It was at a dealer 100 miles down the turnpike, a dealer who actually sells Porsches and Beemers and Ferraris and stuff like that; they had a Bentley and a 429 Cobra (kit car). If you look through the glass on the right in the picture, you can see a yelow Italian exotic.

They posted the Tahoe Thursday night- my bud and I were there Friday morning. He bought my '01 Tahoe so it's still in the family. So far, we've all lived happily ever after.

It's a 4X4, and thank you. I researched the RPOs and it's called 'Victory Red'. It has no graphics but it does have the Z/71 package.

What's the paint code? Looks a touch darker than victory red. Maybe it's the camera.

Edit: the fender looks different than the door in the picture of you look closely. Any body work history?

The paint RPO is 74U.

You know, I've wondered about that fender too, but the Carfax shows absolutely no trauma in the truck's past. I'm not a body man but I can spot no signs of trauma under the hood- no wrinkles, no overspray, etc.

Carfax will only show if it was reported thru insurance. If someone damaged it and paid out of pocket, chances are it won’t show. Regardless, looks like a super clean rig!

I've known for lots of years that you can't prove a negative.

The dealer introducd me to the prior owner, who told me what he knew of its history. I had my regular garage look it over. The Carfax is clean. I, and my bud, have looked it over. So far so good.

And, back in '76-'80, I lived in Deer Park. Spent many a night on the ship channel, behind the battleship Texas, building bonfires and partying. The wakes from the ships would suck all the water to the center of the channel; then it would come rolling back to the edge like a surfer's wave. Some guys liked to show their bravery (and/or drunkeness) by seeing how far out into the channel they could run before the return wave chased them back.

Thank God I already knew I was a slow, clumsy runner. I just watched.
