Back in the mid 90's someone turned me on to that lake as a point of interest. Since then, I always wanted to see it in person. It looks airbrushed in photos. But that's exactly what it looks like in real life. Clarity is up to 150' at times and it's nearly 2000' deep. Rain water and snow melt are the only two things that keep the lake fed. And it continually maintains it's depth within 16' since it's creation. It is one of the cleanest and deepest lakes on the planet, if I understand correctly. The water looks so blue--like it's fake.
