no i understand that completely. like i said it was just for reference. what im not understanding is the action of it. with the AC on full blast and recirc, the needle should hold steady ish, apply power, loss of pressure. return to idle, needle returns. i have an understanding of compressor failure, condenser failure, coil failure. i dont know what the hell this is doing when its working the opposite.

The way that video looks, its like you have a really low charge and have it hooked up to the high side.
Are there PSI numbers on that gauge?

yes the gauge maxes out at 150 but im not taking it as listed nor does it reach that and its not hooked to the high side as the little nozzle only hooks to the low side for idiot proofing.

i did not add any due to the fact that the gauge is erratic. as with all you put the bad boy on, set AC at max with recirc if you have it, let it idle. if its in the green, youre good and low 134 isnt the problem.

if its low, i tap the throttle to see how low the needle drops, if its drastic, low freon isnt your problem.

here i tap, needle dosent fall but a sec later it climbs to a point the compressor should kick on, which it should already BE on, then falls.

no impact, no idea.

If the needle is moving when you change RPMs then the compressor has to be on.
Without knowing the high side and low side numbers at the same time...along with ambient temp , we cant make an educated guess over the internet.
Find some gauges and shoot another vid.

Have the rough idle on my new Tahoe. No codes thrown. Installed aftermarket exhaust and idles smooth as butter now and the harsh downshifting has gone away. Weird
