I have a 2001 Tahoe with keys and 1" spacer in the rear. Here is my question:

Can I fit Mickey Thompson MTZ 305/70/16 on my 16x8 rims with 4.5" backspace? Or should I go with 285/75/16 to avoid rubbing?

The 305s are 12" wide.
The 285s are 11.3" wide.

Both are listed at 33.1" in diameter.

I like the look of tires sticking out from the vehicle but don't want to have to do a ton of trimming to fit the 305s. Any and all advice will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

I suggest 285s, I have 275s and no rubbin but its close with the wheel offset Im running. 305s look good but if you dont have the right offset or lift your going to rub bumper or inner fender. Someboyd else may chime in on the 305s

Yeah I think I am going to go with the 285s. If nothing else they are a little cheaper.
