Been running without it 4-5 years now with no issues. Only thing that sux is no 4wd now.

If it's 4wd you can definitely run without your front drive shaft.
The 2wd front hub bearing is definitely different than the 4wd unit. Do not drive without the outer CV installed and torqued, the bearing will come apart because the drive axle is what holds the bearing together.
