Ah H E double hockey stick! I broke down. First time EVER I've been unable to get my vehicle to move again and had to call a tow truck. Lost fuel to engine, my wideband would fire up at 15:1 then quickly go to 20:1 and engine would stall. Probably surfaced yesterday where it stalled on a mountain road. No big deal I got out and we walked for an hour, came back and zero issue. Ran like a top again. I assumed my engine tune didn't like 4700ft elevation I was at. It was a long stretch but seemed feasable.
Got in it to drive it again today and it did same thing. Only this time I could start it but it would be at 20:1 AFR and no power to move vehicle. Not that I should at that, it'd probably burn the engine up. I got a tow back to my house.
So long story short, it's possible a hose clamp came loose in my fuel sending unit. I swapped the pump with a high flow aftermarket pump and they sold me screw clamps for the fuel line HERE. Today I immediately suspected the pump and called my friend who recommended putting that one in. He immediately said it's the screw clamps and I should have bought factory style pinch clamps.
For my question...
What brand pinch clamps are good for the fuel line in the sending unit?
I'm running the pump HERE. I have a 57 PSI fuel pressure regulator (up from 45 PSI another long story).
I'm also using this fuel hose HERE
My head is also a bit dizzy trying to figure out clamp size. ID of hose is 5/16" OD isn't spec'ed. When I measure OD I get around 1/2" (should be larger when I slide it on the pump). What size clamp would that be?
