hey rigo - where do you splice the new fuse/switch in? (i'm a newbie with electronics)

Also, if i simply pull the fuse on the crank, is there a way someone could hot wire my hoe? (for a temporary solution)

On the smart start there is a trunk release. Is it possible to put an inline switch to the ignition? It would be an extra step to use the remote start, but it would be an excellent safety feature.

if they know theres a big chance they can start it. because they would know whats the kill switch for, and where to find it. but if you keep it to yourself they wouldn't know where to start. by removing the fuse the truck will not be able to crank even with you key in. so even if they brake your ignition switch and tried manually cranking it by touching the wires together the truck would not turn over. the only way to start the truck would be to push start or hot wire the starter when the ignition is on. but if they cant in the first try, thief will leave it and go look for something easier to get.

thats why i had so many hidden switches in my hondas.

i trust more the fuel pump fuse but thats located under the hood. i will try to get some pics of how to find the wire asap you're asking for.

btw i remembered my friend using a bigger louder alarm speaker under the hood and inside the car. i remember the one inside was so loud and annoying i felt like my ears where gonna pop.

not enough... u would here the horn run out side and see the back of you truck hauling ass. some people can even hear their alarm 10-20 foot away.

Anyone know where a good place on line would be to get those fuse holders? The three stores we have that would have that dont.

Or would it just be as easy to splice into the harness? Is it hard to get to?

Another good spot for the switch if it can handle it would be the rear wiper knob. Most of you have deleted the rear wiper anyway. Why not just use the knob for that puropse. Right out in the open nobody will suspect. Oh if your up here in Canada Canadian Tire has those fuse holders.

Where's the fuse/wire used for the fuel pump on an '02 Tahoe? If it's under the hood, what is the fuse named?
