i want to upgrade the headlights in my '15 Yukon. I tried the LED headlights from Xenon Depot in my '15 Sierra, and while they looked better, and were brighter than stock, they still weren't even close to HID. I have been reading about all the issues with HID kits, and not sure I want to go down that road. Are there any LED lights that actually are worth a damn? Or HID kits that don't have problems?

quality ballasts and bulb is the only way to go. It will never be equal to the LTZ or Denali as they have different headlights but a quality oem bulb and ballast will be almost as good and a huge upgrade from the halogen setup.

stay away from the $100 HID garbage kits.

Time to shine! We have been helping our Yukon customers upgrade to the brightest and highest quality true HID System with the latest can bus technology that simply other companies don't have. Stay away from led kits on headlights, it's just really wrong for the main two reasons of giving up on a lot of light output and the bulb actually blocking the light within the projector causing a dark spot inside. If you need help getting the correct system I would suggest the 35w can bus kit. ajs800 is right on not getting a cheap hid kit but he did not mention that a more expensive kit like the one he pointed out won't go the extra mile with easiness of installation ( completely plug and play) no need for capacitors or busy wiring harnesses and most importantly it won't even work with your vehicle for the not being can bus. Your truck just got really smart and the lights need to be at level.

Why do you suggest the 35 over the 45 or 55 kits?

I do some pretty dark back roads some time at night and like to get more light down the road and to the sides.

The best oem setups are only 35w. Typically the higher wattage kits are to make up for crappy product.

On the 11 tahoe there is something I would highly suggest over anything else and it's called a headlight retrofit, we provide this service. The 35W kit is more stable than the 55w, 55w is brighter but you give up a lot of it because the reflectors can only handle so much.
We ship these tahoe headlights with all kinds of tricks done on them and there you can go with 55w and even quad projectors, plus they turn your low into high beams too. The next best thing if you don't want to go with a retro would be a 35w hid system together with our philips zes led kit on the high beams or better yet on fog lights, you won't need the high beams every again.

I bought a LED kit from "JDMASTER" for my 2017 Tahoe, and they are amazing, they are WAY brighter than the factory HID bulbs that come in the LTZ models. They make LEDs specifically for projector housings! (LEDs for projectors only have chips on ONE side, and they need to be pointed UP in the housing) these are brighter than any HID kit I've ever tried!
