Y'all,

I rarely need to have the 3rd-row seats in my Tahoe, so most of the time they're sitting in the garage, flat. I'd like to get them off the floor and out of the way up on a wall.

Obviously, I can go to a big box store and look through the available options for wall hooks and brackets, but before I do, are there any specific hooks or brackets (as in brand name and part number) that anyone can suggest? This would include hooks/brackets that you've modified.

Thanks,
Scrappy

Good idea to keep em cleaner and the critters out. Bicycle hooks would eventually bend with those lead seats. I’d go buy 4 good eye or hook bolts and run them into studs.

Get some good rope and run it through some old hose or pool noodles to protect the upholstery from rope binding. Tie one end of each rope onto two eye bolts.

Put one of the seats against the wall under the bolts / ropes / cushy rope. Either have someone lift the seat up and tie both ends of the other end of ropes onto the eyebolt or …

Buy a few cheap pulleys and lag them into ceiling beams and run your ropes through them. Pulling the ropes and tying them off would hold the seat up on the wall so you can secure it or lower it all by yourself.

I had to do that with 20’ 2x12” lumber on a second story roof trim. No scaffolding available that weekend.
