Anybody else get the 20s on their Denali?

I feel like I’m the only one! I got the Premium package with active something w/sunroof and max tow with 6.2. But has the smaller wheels. I’m even having trouble finding pictures of a Denali with the OEM 20s. Anybody have a pic of theirs?

Seems like the info you gave implies 22" wheels should have been on your vehicle, so if they aren't, maybe your dealer made a mistake. (The 22" wheels are sometimes shipped to the dealers separately and the vehicle ships with interim steel wheels).

If you just got the "Denali Premium Package" then you should have 22" wheels standard. From gmc.com build and price, selecting the premium package gives you this:


However, if the "active something" you are referring to is the "Premium Capability Package with Active Response 4wd" you still should have had included 22" wheels.

From gmc.com build and price, if you select that package, you get this popup:


Then selecting "select" yields this:


So you then have to either take the Max Tow Only, Denali Reserve, or Premium package, both of which give you 22" Bright Machined Al wheels...and if you pick just the Max Trailering Package and click "select" you get this:



Net, all roads lead to the fact you should have 22" wheels if you have the "Premium Capability Package with Active Response 4wd" or the "Denali Premium Package."

A way to check would be view your window sticker (maybe your dealer gave it to you), or you can get it by going to this URL and replacing the VIN in the link below with your own VIN and it will show you what you should have gotten.

Yes, I do not think they look "small" either.

The interesting thing to me as I was looking at options, was always that the 20's and the 22's fill the exact same amount of the wheel well. Just a matter of rim to rubber ratio. If the 22's got you more fill of the wheel well I would think there would be a bigger difference visually, but as it is, they look basically the same to me.

All wheel options look meh for the Denali. The 22s look small on this gen and they’re not as wide as they were on the previous gen.

I thought the same thing. I couldn’t spec it the way it is with 20s. But keep in mind I’m in Canada and vehicle packages are always different. I have the build sheet showing 20s.
The truck just arrived at the dealer last night. But we’ve been hit with a massive blizzard so I might not see it till Saturday. Would be a welcome surprise to see 22s but they already ordered 20” tires for it. I’m happy either way.

I changed the 22”s on my Denali to 20”s due to wanting more rubber between me and massive potholes and other road hazards. I feel the ride on the 20s is better than the 22s and surprisingly my wife also thinks it rides better now. On a side note I think the coloring of the 20s match the trim better than the 22s it came with and there are more tire options. This is a pic of the 20” OEM wheels I picked up.

I feel the ride on the 20s is better than the 22s and surprisingly my wife also thinks it rides better now. You have 6.5" of sidewall on the 20's versus 5.4" of sidewall on the 22's. More sidewall equals more tire flex, which absorbs more of the bumps from the road. Want to feel like you're riding on a cloud - install 18's.

I wanted to keep the shipping wheels that came on my Yukon, they would have made a nice rim for winter tires.

We test drove both sizes on the same day. Same dealership, same loop. The 20s were WAY smoother. I’m a geezer. Don’t really care about looks. I just want the Yukon to do its job: tow the boat, road trips. It does both beautifully.

Getting 22’s on a suv that will see any potholes are dirt is silly.
