Yea.. at-least with Mercedes.. if you select the elite paint.. you get a nice show hand polished finish.. Inlaws. just ordered a S-550 and the demo they drove home had amazing paint.. very deed.. obviously it had a wet sand and a polish... drool cant wait for it to get in in 1.5 weeks

Holy Cow. Do you also polish and wax or tahoe twice a month as well?

I clay my truck twice a year. It is the second step in the detail process (behind a nice wash) and probably the most important step.

I finally put the clay to my paint...Well ,all but the roof rack area..lol
Amazingly enough it wasn't to bad.
I don't know if hitting it with Meguiars cleaner/wax last week cut down on the buildup but I expected allot worse.
Could defiantly feel some buildup almost like an over spray feel but cleaned smooth very quickly and easily.
I then hit it with the cleaner wax again and will throw one more coat of wax on it this weekend...Dont worry it doesn't see this kind of attention in the winter.lol
Too bad it doesn't take out dents and gouges :)
I think the previous owner used a shovel to clear the snow off of it...#@!!!!
