that's exactly what I have and I love it.... (check my previous posts).

That thing has x2 temp sensors, so have a pipe made for you that you can splice into the upper radiator hose (my previous post has a link to a company that can do it)

this is what I used for my two sensors:
http://www.pacificcustoms.com/AM-RADIATOR-ADAPTER.html

i had them make me a custom one with x2 bungs

this is the relay kit, i personally found it to be of better quality then Ray's

scroll down to the bottom and you will see the options...i was amazed at the quality, completeness and directions with the kit...but its $$$

Monstar, here are the links and info for you.

It comes with directions for how to wire it all up.
you need speed 1 to turn off when speed 2 activates otherwise you will eventually burn out the motor...i think running it your way would have both speeds on

Monstar Monstar....

Just a disclaimer - ppl have had success wiring in a Volvo 2speed setup to these fans and its MUCH cheaper then how I did it below.

Spec for pipe:
1.25 OD
x2 3/8 threaded ports (i.e. bungs)

I believe when I ordered it, i asked for 7" in total length (not 100% sure though). Total cost was around $90 for shipping and the custom work.

This system is completely seperate from the computer and sensors in the engine block.

If you'd like to run ONE speed on the fan (it will save you a ton of money), check out my first picture and the x1 bung pipe on the right hand side. I have it sitting around and will give you a great deal on it. The relay setup will also be much cheaper and you could buy it from Summit or Jegs. My setup only kicked into HIGH speed once, I've read on multiple sites that LOW is more then enough for everyday driving, even in the summer.

Personally I still like running the fan they way it was designed (Hi or Low) and I think that's the proper way to do it :)

Also, when I ordered the relay setup, I asked for x2 temp sensors w/AC. The kit is really nice and comes with EVERYTHING you will need to install...including the appropriate grease for the relays.

The relay setup is fairly long, make sure you have a flat place large enough to mount that thing. As you can see, I mounted it to my Volant CAI....but the relays will NOT mount correctly to your OEM airbox. This thing will handle 50amps, so you'll want to keep it close to the battery.

Pipe:

Pipe spliced in: (buy a NEW quality hose, use the old hose to practice your splicing)

Pipe installed with x2 sensors from relay kit: (you will need to create a ground for the sensors...mine is the clamp in the middle of the pipe)

im sure it would die, hence why you have the toggle switches for the manual power option.. not sure what would happen to the fan itself.

yeah, that's what i was thinking....i don't have a manual switch on mine, didn't see the need for how i set mine up. However, if i complete this "overland" conversion, I will need to.

Assuming all power is off when everything gets soaked...when can I flip the switch to turn on everything again? (same w/relays, don't want to fry them either)

I don't plan on going this deep, still learning about this stuff in a worse case scenario.

250!!!
