So I installed these https://a.co/d/bypK09j on Friday evening and they are still going strong. Even though it's only been a couple days, they've held way longer than anything I've tried previously. The other velcro I've tried lasted half a day at most. To be fair, we've not had a really hot day since I installed them, so that could be a factor as well.

I ended up cutting each of those 6x4 pieces into 3x2 pieces and spreading them out on the back of the all weather mats. I ended up getting 12 total 3x2 pieces. I used 7 on the large bench back and 5 on the small bench back

Great to know!

When I eventually get off my butt and install mine to the cargo tray, I'll give my feeedback as well.

I don't move the 3rd row up and down, so surprisingly (*fingers crossed*) those mats have stood in place so I'm not going to rock that boat until those start shifting.

Maybe look for a snap together fastener, Aliexpress or amazon. I've seen several vehicles with mats located by 1-1/2 - 2 inch plastic snaps that were nearly invisible. Female on mat, male on floor.

I'm still waiting to hear from GM as to who makes the seats ( Lear? ) and call them if I need. Dealer thought that the storage lid was a wood composite. Yes screwed in . A small hole which I would think are small enough that if removed could be fluffed over with carpet. The big thing is the top snap have enough of a rivet for the thickness of the plastic of the mats. I'll need to go over to West Marine and see what is available. I had kit from there when I had a boat. Now I need to find it. If I make headway I'll post more.
Well today I added some canvas snaps to the rear cargo mat and seat backs. I put 2 in each back top and 1 each far side of storage cover mat. Will see how they work long run. I do have an idea for GM if I had a email address for the interior engineers.

Got all weather cargo area mats from Chevy when I ordered my ‘22. The Velcro sucked. Wouldn’t stick to the fuzzy backs of the third row seats and thus kept falling off. Bought new heavy duty (supposedly) Velcro off Amazon. Stuck for about two days before coming off. Now the all weather mats that cover and protect the fuzzy backs of the third row just kinda hang there. I’ll push them back on every time I get back there but they fall by the next time I load the back.

Anyone found something that will make these things stay stuck?
I had the same problem with the cargo mats. I finally got disgusted with them and they went out with the trash. They were cheap junk.

I don't know why people are so afraid of this solution. Simple. Neat. Solves problem 100%.

Believe it or not, they make Stainless Steel Velcro. I first saw this in the late '80s when I was in the RV Mfg business. A Velcro rep brought some in. It was created for NASA he said. It was too much fun to see even the biggest guys try to separate his sample piece that was about 1-1/2" wide. It can be drilled and screwed on if needed. Just saying, there's a Velcro type for any application. I would think the 3M adhesive they use for the vehicle badges would work on it quite well.

As we now know….the adhesive on the back of the Velcro does not adhere to the carpet. This tape below, when added to the sticky back of the Velcro, DOES stick in the carpet. It does not fail. Not sure what kind of mess it leaves behind if you try and get it out….but it works.

Well, it took a month, but the 60 side of my 60/40 split third row finally failed and came off. Every piece of velcro that was stuck to the carpet backing of the third row stopped sticking so I'm back to the drawing board. Thinking about trying some double-sided carpet tape now maybe.

So you put this on the carpet side and then the velcro sticks to this? Just trying to figure out the steps.
