anyone install the escalade third brake light?

When you put up the pics, can you list out everything needed for the modification and where you picked the parts from? I think it is only the escalade spoiler and 3rd brake light, but wanted to confirm and see if there was anything else I may have missed, Thanks again.

I'll list the items right here:

Escalade 3rd brake light LED bar - 25779085. I got mine off eBay for $85 from one that was removed off a brand new Escalade.

Escalade spoiler - 25779075 - gmpartsdepartment.com seems to have the best price.

Bolts that you WILL need for install - 11561972 - gmpartsdepartment.com


That would be all you need, the wiring is plug-and-play and from what I read very easy to swap. UPS seems to be sooo slowwww at delivering mine.

I saw this post while searching the internet about adding an Escalade 3rd brake light to my Tahoe. I am interested in doing this myself. I was wondering if you could provide me with a little more information about this modification and possibly some pictures if you did end up doing the mod. to your Tahoe.

Also, did you have to purchase a different brake light, because from what I am finding the 3rd brake light on the Escalade doesn't actually light up all the way... Weird, but whatever

The Escalade one does not light up all the way across, however, you can buy the Putco one in "Ion Chrome" or just chrome and it actually does light up all the way across. But, they do not have it in red.

I ended up putting the Escalade one on and not the Putco because I found the Escalade 3rd brake for $75.

You will need the 3rd brake light bar itself, the spoiler, and 3-4 bolts that your current set up will NOT have so you will have to order.

Here is a shot of mine from the back to help give an idea of a finished result:

However, the photo you posted only loads the top portion. I see the roof of a house and that's it. Am I doing something wrong?

I don't know why they didn't just make it a full LED brake light. It seems like a waist to me, especially considering the amount of money people pay for an Escalade.

I will have to think about about it some more before I decide what I am going to do...

w33m4n, I did find that particular listing after you mentioned it. The only problem is my Tahoe is Gold Mist Metallic. I wonder how much it would cost to get that one piece painted factory color.....

I like mine, it still looks nice. But I wouldn't spend too much on it - get it if you find a deal. If you're looking to spend $$ on a nice 3rd brake, I'd go with the Putco one because it lights up all the way across. I'm wanting to buy one later and then swap the covers so it'll be red AND light up all the way across.

Are those Escalade tails as well or something after market?
