If you still have a Pep Boys, they sell headliner material there.

Too bad you're not close, I'd help you do it. Also you can check Joann's Fabrics for the material. I like to use a plastic bondo spreader to help lay down the material. Keeps the wrinkles out.

I'd like to see ( youtube?)... How to remove the sundshade.... My fabric is also loose.
A bandaid fix is, I open it up then close it again & tuck the fabric in the edges with a putty knife.

i'll make a video if you like but it's pretty easy to remove the sunshade.

From the inside, open the sunshade and you will see 4 black torx screws holding the sunroof glass on. Take out those 4 screws and you can pop the glass out. NOTE: i would recommend making marks of where those screws were in the brackets so that you can put the glass back in the same location.

Next, slide the sunshade closed. Go outside your truck and look in the sunroof from the top. You will see 4 clips holding the sunshade in the track that it slides on. You should be able to pop the sunshade out from there.

Thanks...... But removing my glass is not happening..... Not worth the risk.

Can you just slide the glass open all the way instead of removing it? Can those torx still be removed?

I've disassembled the whole sunroof in an attempt to repair the sagging liner. Unfortunately, the 3M spray glue that I used bled through the grey fabric liner (it was compromised from detaching from the glue initially due to moisture) and it ended up looking 10 times worse. I just have to bite the bullet and buy a new one. I guess an option would be to remove it, scrape/sand it clean, and then spray paint it.

If the headliner looks terrible, why not dye it and then reuse it? FWIW, I have NEVER worked with a headliner before, so this is a legitimate question -- I really don't know.

I think he said it's sagging. It would look like crap imo--plus the glue seeped through.

I may try an upholsterer to install a color matching panel into the shade panel? The shade has a ridge around the border, that may accommodate something..... So, just tear out the sagging / stupid material.

Hey all. My first post on the site.

My sun shade was sagging as well. I have a customer in my business that runs an upholstery shop. He recovered mine with no problem.

It might be possible to get the sun shade out with out removing the glass. But it certainly is easier to remove the glass first and then the shade
