Anyone replaced the factory Bose sub in its plastic box with aftermarket sub and or used an aftermarket amp with the Bose sub?

I have a 2011 Tahoe and has anyone replaced the factory Bose sub in its plastic box with aftermarket sub I believe its 5-1/4" and or used an aftermarket amp with the Bose sub? Also forgot to ask about center console, does both front seats have to come out to take out center console or remove top half of center console to get to the Bose sub?

If memory serves, the seats share the same holes as the console and they are on top.

I bought a custom fit box from a guy on eBay, it is a tight fit I also had to cut a piece of plastic for the box to fit.
But you will need to run a different amp plus wiring, subwoofer, If you do not want to install a aftermarket head unit you can use a RCA Converter.

Yes, the seats have to come out. I went with the MTX box with built-in amp. I believe that they have been discontinued but it upgraded the small 5.25 to a 10". Much better sound for sure!
