Found some 18x9 wheels I really like but the -12 offset has me hesitating. The calculator shows the tires will be pushed out 1.75” and not sure if that’s what I want. I would much rather be closer to 0 but it’s not an option with this wheel. Anyone else running this offset or using equivalent spacers?

I’m running 22x10 with a minus 20, if I remember right, offset. Are you concerned about rubbing? What size tire are you using?

Thanks for chiming in. Just the usual stuff - sticking out too far (subjective) and rubbing. I’m guessing an alignment check wouldn’t hurt either.

I ordered 285/65/18 KO2s. Slightly wider but 1/2” smaller diameter. According to the calculator it should add some slight clearance on the inside of the tire as well.

The smaller diameter should help with rubbing but I would worry they won’t fill the wheel wells enough, the stock sizes barely look big enough to me. Also, are you sure 18 inch wheels will clear the front calipers?

Yeah I have a similar concern but I think the extra sidewall will help mask it. Seems like most modern vehicles have a hard time filling the wheel well. At least they aren’t square anymore. :D

Calipers will be fine. The 17” spare will clear the brakes but I didn’t want to push my luck. If I ever upgrade to the brembos I’ll have to go at least 20” for clearance.

True but With the exception of the Brembos (not sure if you that option but others might). Have to swap rear to front and then put spare on rear if you get a front flat.

Good to call out for others. No brembos here but I was considering it given the iffy stock brakes. Oh well if I bite that bullet in the future I can sell them.
