Anyone used adapters to put 5 lug wheels on a 6 lug truck?

I'm looking for wheels for my '23 Sierra. I really like the US Mags Rambler but it only comes in 5 lug at 22". Way back when I used some Ford to GM adapters on Big Mama with no problems but I'm wondering about how much 5 to 6 the adapters will push the wheels out and how thick they need to be. I'm planning on using my factory 275 tires. The wheels are 22X9.5. Any and all help is appreciated.

I just moved this thread. We don't have a Sierra section but I think the SUV one will be okay. Unless you have a target section.

That’s perfect thanks. I’ve joined truck forums but they’re nowhere near as good as this one.

Most people have used wheel adapters, usually just once because the wheels inevitably come off when driving; but it sounds like a good idea to most of us at least once

Yeah you’re right. I’ve given up on that idea. I just don’t understand why US mags doesn’t make the Rambler or U111 in 6 lug at 22”. Ugh!

This is one of those things that I was admonished years ago to never do -- that it's never a good idea. Right or wrong, I've heeded the advice and will never do it.
