Thinking of putting them on my 2000 Tahoe in 265 75 16, or some other HT tire that is quiet and enhances ride comfort ( softer? ) I currently have Wrangler RT/S's on it - the ride comfort and noise are so so IMO

I have the michelin cross terain tires. They have discontinued them and was told the latitude tour is the replacement. I was told they are just as good as what i have. I will be replacing mine with the latitude for the winter.

You might want to look into the Bridgestone Duehler H/L Alenza.. Awsome tire. I have them on my 2001.. I am also work for Bridgestone, so I got a smoking good deal. Anywho.. GReat tire. Better than any michelin and slightly less expensive.

I have the Michelin LTX A/S 275 65 18 (put on 18" esky rims) I live in Pittsburgh and I'll never buy a different tire. With all the shit weather we had last year they handled perfectly and with all the hilly and windy roads, (Pittsburgheese for hills and winding roads with curves) when it snowed I didn't even need to keep it in 4WD all the time. In a down pour they handle perfectly. Even in the woods with a little mud was no problem. Minimal road noise and handle nice on dry pavement and handle the pot holes pretty well also. They are just over 2 yo and still look like new. This is an all around friendly tire.

I looked at the reviews for the latitude tire from several sites and they dont really seem to be liked. Not good in the snow and traction isnt that good on wet pavement seems to be the general issues with most. I ended up going with a dunlop tire. So far im happy with them.

I used to really like michelins but as of late I think they got lost and dont give what the customer needs. I do agree with the dry rot part. I noticed that with a set i had a few years back.

i see it every day, Ive installed a new set and 6 months down the road, they are dry rotted. Not to mention, Michies are expensive. There are a lot of nice tires for cheaper money.
