Hi everybody,

I have just bought a 2008 yukon and I feel uncomfortable with noise from wheels when driving on speed of 80 mph and above. I have installed new good yeer tires of size 285/50/20. I need your help to decide whether these rims are original or not. Have a look on them in the link please..

That link goes to a general forum. Looks like you have to be a member to join.

those are real GM, but I believe these are accessory wheels. Robbie will confirm for sure. I have seen these on many yukons here in texas. Just dont know if its a SLT or stock thing

Here is the wheel from the forum he posted

Yep. Original wheel. Not an accessory wheel tho, that's a production wheel.

Thanks for quick replay..

On the back written "made in china".. Are original wheels made in china?! And do 20" cause noise on 80mph and above? I am thinking of replacing them with 17".. What do you advise, will the noise disappear ?

Everything is made in China. Lol.

It's the wheel that is making noise? Or the tire?

I believe those wheels are chrome clad, which means they are basically a chrome hubcap over a steel wheel. I guess that can cause a noise over 80, but I have never heard of that issue.

I have factory GM 20's on my avalanche and there is no noise coming from the rims or tires... you sure it's the rims?

I just bought some brand new tires a few months ago... Nitto Terra Grappler's. I think my stock tires that came with the vehicle were goodyears and I couldn't hear any noise coming from those either.
