Armrest help

howdy!

Its been a while since i posted here! The black beauty was doing so well for such a long time! But... She is old, and i knew it had been too long since something had gone wrong. Thankfully its just an armrest issue!
I had read a few posts in different areas and one helped me to get the darn thing off... But now, i cant decide whether or not this pin is broken... I know i need to weld it back on from the inside, but is the other end broken? Seems weird that that tiny pin sits in such a large opening. Thanks for the help!

While im at it, anyone have any idea on how to fix this issue witht the denali/escalade rear console?? The cupholder keeps popping out of those fragile little plastic holes. Every time it's opened. I luckily found one that didnt need repairing! And i am too protective to let anyone use it yet.
