I’ll bet you can force that valve the other direction, by opening the opposite side of the system and pushing the brakes to the floor with a rear bleeder open. Closing it of course before letting the pedal up.
ya I just spoke with a shop I prefer to go to and he said they have had success bleeding them slow and getting them re-centered, said it's rare to happen but fixable, but he can't get to it till next week and I don't have a helper or a bleeder setup, the whole system needs a flush anyway so I guess I am going to drop it off at the dealer, shouldn't cost anything extra than a standard brake system flush.

You could buy a Motive pressure bleeder and do it yourself for less than the dealer charges and then you'd have the tool for the future. They're so nice to have.

I don't think a Motive pressure bleeder will do it. The shuttle or switch pushes to one side when there is a pressure difference between the front and back brakes triggering the light.

the motive looks like a handy tool, it certainly could be useful bleeding/flushing brakes with no helper, it might also be useful in this situation given I would have to do it all myself but I think I am going to pass it off to the shop this time since it also needs a couple other minor issue's taken care of and just have it all done at once and I don't have to spend my entire day under the truck trying to mess with it. It would be just my luck to get air in the ABS pump or something stupid like that and end up having to do a extra work.
