Disconnect the battery for 10 minutes. See if that "reboots" the mirrors.

Yeh tried the reboot. No dice. I ordered used rear view on eBay so hopefully that does the trick. It’s my understanding that the rear view mirror and sensors in it control the side mirror so hopefully side mirror will work un-dim with the new rear view. Thanks for all the tips to try

I'm more curious if the light on the mirror turned off and if the mirror went back to normal?

The green on off light goes on and off when pressing and holding down according to manual’s instructions about disabling but mirror stays dim. Does that tell you anything?
