Auto Start and Banks Gauge

So I installed the banks gauge.. to be ready for the derringer upgrade , when it comes out. I’ve noticed that it sometime turns off when the auto start is active. Anyone else ex.perité ces this? I have the derringer in my 2020 Hd and love it!

12.10.2 Start/Stop
For vehicles with engine start/stop functionality: When enabled, the iDash will not shut off when RPM drops below 600 rpm. Instead, the vehicle will check for vehicle communication to the ECU to determine if the vehicle is shut off.

NOTE: It will also take longer for the iDash to go into sleep mode.

To enable or disable “Start/Stop”

1. Select “Settings” from the main “MENU.” Select “Wake-up Sensitivity Level.“
2. Select “Start-Stop:” to “Enable” or “Disable” this feature. Figure 12-8.
3. Return to the Gauge Screen when finished.

Make sure you have the latest software update (1.24.0) and you select the correct engine/vehicle in the setup to get the most parameters to display.

Has anyone noticed if you remote start the iDash doesn't power up? Pressing the start button to enable drive controls doesn't seem to, either. I'm guessing they don't poll regularly for OBD activity? Maybe it gets power at start, but no data, so goes back to sleep.

Most people I know with a newer GM vehicle have auto Start Stop PERMANENTLY disabled. Disabling daytime running lights is another popular upgrade. They do nothing to improve safety.

Correct it doesn’t power up the Baks, still haven’t gone through all the settings tho
