Hello...I've got a 2009 GMC Yukon Denali 2WD. All 4 shocks need to be replaced and I would like to install conventional shocks/struts and lowering springs. I would like to go with a suspension system like what's on the PPV. I don't want to go too low, maybe a 2/2 drop with stiffer springs and shocks. I would also like to install Hotchkis sway bars.

I have two questions...first, I have part numbers for the PPV shock/struts (AC Delco) and 2/2 drop springs that will fit on my Denali. Would I be better off going with Bilstein shocks/struts and Eibach/H&R springs or are the GM PPV suspension parts just as good? I know Arnott makes a conversion kit that comes with Bilsteins and a bypass module but apparently those particular shocks are not as stiff as the B6 or HD Bilsteins.

Second, I know I can bypass the damper part of the system by wiring in a resistor to the plug that goes into the OEM damper. What I need help with is this...how do I bypass the auto leveling part of the system which has the compressor/leveling sensor rods attached? Will pulling fuse #61 make my dash light up or should I get shorter rods? Will shorter rods disable my compressor? I would like to bypass the system completely and never have to worry about it again.

Thanks in advance...

I've got the autoride system completely bypassed.

Does anyone have any experience with the PPV suspension or should I look into something aftermarket for a 2/2 drop?

What did you do to bypass the compressor function?

I'm not lowered, I'm lifted, I bypassed the front only and plan on doing the rear. It comes on at start up for a couple seconds, who knows while driving. Ive tried adjusting the rods as I can move the mount on the control arm but haven't been able to dial it in.

on lifted applications you can actaully adjust the ride links longer ie 4 inches and will not turn on.

I bought the Arnott conversion kit that comes with the bypass module. I got lucky and sold the set of bilstein shocks/ Arnott springs that came with the kit. They won't sell the module separately.

It wires directly into the autoride module under the spare tire. When it's wired in, the entire system is disabled with no idiot lights.
