Looking for suggestions on my AWD Denali. It's an 01. Currently it has blown out rear shocks. Looking at purchasing the following shocks but I am not sure if my factory compressor even works any more. The service ride light has been on since I bought the truck and there are clearly visible rips in the rubber on the rear shocks.

What I am looking to do is lower it a few inches and get the suspension all in working order. I remember seeing a kit a while back that eliminated the autoride but I cant find it now, seems like it might be a good solution to having to worry about more shocks failing.

Anyone wanna recommend solutions?

Here's a couple pictures of the truck currently. Located in Tampa area currently.. would prefer local shops if at all possible, but would order online. No problems installing myself.

Autoride

Hey hows it going guys, well i just bought my 04 yukon and it has autoride. as you can see on my avatar pic it is really low have no clue how many inches but to me its way too low. maybe since im just used to lifted trucks. well I just found out that my rear shocks are both also blown im guessing being so low had something to do with it. I am actually in the process of ligting it so ill be taking the lowering prings they put on the back as well as some type of brackets that lower the rear shocks more. but I dont know about this autoride system sounds like a lot of ppl dont like it. Personally I dont like it already. so if you guys find somehing out on some type of autoride delete kit let me know please.

I forget if its on this site but one guy has a whole write up on how to delete autoride and is really helpful if yu have questions. Search this site or GMfullsize for "autoride" and you will find it.

I dont want to delete mine if I can avoid it, I just want to find out about leveling my truck out. Good luck.

idk too much about how the computer part of the auto ride works but i know my 03 yukon has 4 little sensers that have arms that are connected to a control arm at all 4 corners now im guessin that arm has a "happy spot" and if its above that spot it lets air out of the shock if its below that spot it put air in the shocks....

with that said in theroy couldnt you just build a bracket that mounts that arm in its "happy spot" then replace the air shocks with real shocks. in theroy you would trick the auto ride system into thinking the rig never changes pitch or lean there for it would never have to top off or take air out of the bags.

with this mod if it works which as of right now its all a theroy you could GO BACK TO STOCK down the road if you needed... which i dont know about any of you but im one that everything i do is reversable i like to be able to fall back on stock if needed for some dumb reason

anyone got any ideas on this or did it spark anoter theroy
