Hello all. Ive got an 05 Yukon SLT with autoride.
Just looking for a sanity check on things Ive gathered from doing post searches.
Im going to ease into removing my autoride by starting with the front and doing the rear over the winter.

Ive found that once I get the whole system out I pull the RTD fuse. I can do the resistor mod for the front in the mean time....or just deal with the light.

EVERYONE likes Bilsteins......Im a bit confused about 4600s or 5100s - but thats a different concern.

SO.
Rear springs.

If I pull the air shocks and replace with Bilsteins......and do nothing else.
A - the rear will drop about an inch.
B - My towing capacity will be pretty weak.
C - Otherwise no issues.

Is that because the springs that come with Autoride are weak? Are they standard Yukon springs? Ive heard they are LT springs....is that so bad?

My options are.
A - Bilstein makes a replacement spring.
B - Get a set of Z71 springs?
C - keep them and cross my fingers?

I dont want the truck all jacked up like a 1975 Nova in high school......lol.
Id love the truck to sit just as it is now.

Bottom line for me - towing.
I tow a car trailer - and sometimes freight the truck down pretty heavy.
Ive got an EZ lift hitch (with the leafs). But assume that Ill need new springs in the truck.

Can I get some votes on a good setup?
5100s and Z71 springs is what I suspect Ill hear......
If I went a bit more tame, say standard SLT springs and 4600s or keep what Ive got with 4600s.....will I regret it?
