I'm looking to hookup my external SiriusXM radio to my 2001 Tahoe and wanted to connect it directly to the factory radio. What's the best way to connect satellite to the factory radio? Is there a interface I can buy to make the connection?

For about the same price you can put in an aftermarket head unit. You'll get noticeably better sound and it's an easy job.

I'm thinking about going this path. As I'm not having luck finding a connector to plug-in to back of the factory radio.
Suggestions on a decent aftermarket radio as this is not my primary vehicle that I drive everyday.?

Any of the name brand ones really. Stay away from the really cheap stuff. But anything around 100 will be good enough. Crutchfield is a good place to look , but may not have the best price, so check elsewhere when you find what you want. As a plus, crutchfield will make it easy to get all the other needed stuff like the harness and mounting adapter.

The job is super easy with just a couple hand tools

Pioneer offers plenty of bang for the buck with most of their stuff. Not the best in the world, but durable and they sound pretty good.

Sony, JVC, Pioneer, Kenwood etc all good radios and you can pick up a decent unit for under 300 and most likely be happier with it and more features.
