That's interesting but no I thought I read a thread with someone with drivetrain noise and it was said that some shops have some tool (name I dont remember) and pinpointed a case bearing was making the noise.

A screwdriver can do that. You stick the tip on the area to be checked and stick your ear on the end of the screwdriver while the vehicle is on a lift and in gear with drivetrain turning.
